State Sport CommitteesOne Rule - One Interpretation - One Mechanic!

Mission:
To effectively manage the OAOA s involvement with your sport throughout the state.
Members:
- One Representative from each Local Association.
- State Rules Interpreter.
- OAOA Commissioner Board member.
- ex-officio - OAOA Executive/Associate Directors; OSAA Staff Liaison
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Meet at least twice year - before and after the season.
- Organize and implement state and regional clinics partnering with local associations.
- Analyze and make recommendations concerning officiating
issues, ideas and proposals.
- Conduct surveys of associations and officials to assist in decision making.
- Promote state-wide uniformity in rule
interpretations and mechanics.
- Develop and recommend content for your sport's OAOA web
page.
- Develop and manage the Committee's budget
- Develop awards and recognition programs.
- Select annual Official of the Year.
- Recommend additions/revisions to the Athletic Officials
Handbook (AOH).
- Assist OAOA with respect to fee and compensation issues.
